The Cellar directly beneath the House of Lords is typified by a ground level undercroft. This represents a brick lined vaulted storage room, which is relatively open to the sides, but covered by the building above (i.e the 2st level House of Lords)
NB: A good example of an Undercroft can be seen at Blakeney Guildhall, North Norfolk
