Within the Dr Who universe, a complex set of storm drains overlooking the Thames river represent the underbelly of the upper streets of London & House of Lords

NB: Joseph Bazalgatte, civil engineer humanised London following the commission into the Great Stink of 1858. He helped forsee the construction of 1,100 miles (1,800 km) of underground brick main sewers to intercept sewage outflows; with foresight large diameter pipes were utilized to accommodate for generous sewage output of Londoners with the unintended benefit of eliminating Cholorae.
